The Lyrics

In this case, "U.K." stands not for United Kingdom -- though some of their girls, especially Catherine Zeta-Jones, have been known to really knock me out -- but for the University of Kentucky, one of the truly great basketball programs, and Kentucky native Ashley Judd is their most visible fan. (And when God made her visible, He was just showing off. Alas, she's married... to a Scotsman, which makes her the other kind of "U.K. girl," too.)
Flew in from the Venice Beach, U.C.L.A.
Didn't watch the game last night.
All the way, I'm picking Tar Heels, U.N.C.
Man, they've got a real clear flight.

These brackets, the N.C.A.A.
You don't know which team you should play, boy.
Brackets, the N.C.A.A.

Been away so long, my team from this big dance.
Gee, it sure don't feel like home.
Playing Kansas, I don't think we got a chance.
Won't get to the Alamodome.

These brackets, the N.C.A.A.
You don't know which team you should play, boy.
Brackets, the N.C. --
Brackets, the N.C. --
Brackets, the N.C.A.A.

Well, the U.K. girls really knock me out.
Miss Ashley Judd is fine.
And Memphis cheerleaders jump and shout.
And Georgia Tech girls, Yellow Jackets always on my-my-mind!

Aw, come on!

(guitar break)

These brackets, the N.C.A.A.
You don't know which team you should play, boy.
Brackets, the N.C.A.A.

Well, the U.K. girls really knock me out.
Miss Ashley Judd is fine.
And Memphis cheerleaders jump and shout.
And Georgia Tech girls, Yellow Jackets always on my-my-mind!

Aw, show me 'round those regional games way down South!
Watch the spread and bet the farm!
Let me hear your college pep bands ringing out!
Come and keep Dick Vitale warm!

These brackets, the N.C.A.A.! Hey!
You don't know which team you should play, boy!
Brackets, the N.C.A.A.!

Aw, lemme tell ya!
