We live in a totalitarian state, thanks to the USA Patriot Act (not since "Christian" "Right" has a political name been more wrong), a product of the Bush Misadministration, and Malcolm thinks it's the Dems who resemble tyrants? You live in Canada, right, Malcolm? Go to www.ndp.ca and see what true North American socialism looks like. It don't look like America's Democrats. Not by a long shot.

Malcolm I've got to tell you that living under republican control in America is closer to life in the former Soviet Union then it it would be if the democrats were in control. For instance, those who support the right to burn the American Flag (free speech protected under the First Amendment) are/were labled "commies" and told to go live in 'Russia' if you want to burn the flag." The reality is you couldn't do that in Russia. While the republicans in this country are probably closer to Fascists (in my view) - politics is a circle - the further to the right you go, the closer to the left you are.
