Song Parodies -> "Bad Habit"

Original Song Title:

"Day Tripper"

Original Performer:

The Beatles

Parody Song Title:

"Bad Habit"

Parody Written by:

Jeff Reuben

The Lyrics

Tide is a brand of laundry detergent
Ripped, torn, and battered
Her outfit was covered with grout
Stinky and tattered
Don't know why she had to go out now

Wearing a bad habit
A nun in old clothes, yeah
She cleaned for so long
But I doubt, the smell came out

She was so dingy
The sisters told her to change
But she's too stingy
So she looked aghast and deranged

She wore a bad habit
A moldy bathrobe yeah
She's worn it so long
She's devout, but smells like trout

Tried to clean up
Washed with hot water and Tide
Shrunk her outfit
So it rode way up her thigh now

Now it's a bad habit,
It's so damn skimpy yeah
That thing was so long
But not now, her ass sticks out

Bad habit
Bad habit yeah
Bad habit
Bad habit yeah
Bad habit

Nice play on the topic Jeff. I had to look "habit" up on Google to know what you were talking about, but since I know it's a pretty cute, and rebellious (Due to the play on words of bad habit) parody.

LOL! Triple fives, for originality alone...but this is fantastic, Jeff! "A moldy bathrobe, yeah" gets me every time! (and by every time, I mean...both times.) Hee hee...=)

"She's devout, but smells like trout": zing! A nun doing tile work.. like Arwen wrote, it's certainly original!

"Hanover" fist....a very clever take on what was supposed to be a black and white topic.. Parody wirting is a hard habit to break. Deal?

I'll have nun of this sort of habit. I say reHAB that nun and remind her that cleanliness is next to Godliness. Is there that much grime on her Bible that she can't "see" these words? (And no I don't think that line is actually in the Bible). Research indicates that it was originated in the 2nd century AD by Rabbi Phinehas ben-Yair. it is an old Hebrew proverb. One bad habit is enough for anyone. I'm donating 5 good habits (which co-incidentally is the same number of votes that you get) to this nun so she won't be so offensive, at least for awhile.

Nun-thing like a Jeff Reuben parody to make me smile. Still loving the play on the topic.

(Dec 2.0) DO I even need to point out the ingenious play on words at this point? Clearly I don't, but I just did anyway. 555.

(dec2.6) now I'm just angry with myself for not predicting that Jeff Reuben would find the play onwords gag before everyone else did - a great idea that begged the storyline, which was hilarious too - gee I hate it when those skimpy habits slide up those pretty young nuns' thighs - 555

(DEC 2.6) I, like Stu, am KICKING myself that I missed such a brilliant idea....kudos, Jeff, for turning the obvious into downright hilarious. 555

I couldn't resist a "nun in a bad habit" verse in mine, too... Still, just as long as there's nun like her, so to speak

Decathlon...you know I love this one, Jeff...FABulous!

(DEC2) Wore a bad habit? Interesting Jeff, and I see everyone else loves it, I liked it, but I won't say that it's my favorite Jeff Reuben parody (though in honesty that could be because this round is like nothing but Beatles--a band that I have seen far too many parodies of)
