The Lyrics

I love Beatles songs. They're SO easy to parody. So easy, I can get one done in one hit! Like 'Really Bad Drivers' or this one, for Decathlon 2.0
Oh, look at all the mobile people
Oh, shut up all you mobile people!

Eleanor Rigby
Picks up her phone when it rings with a song by Akon
A catchy song
Speaks really loudly
As if we all need to know that she is popular
Brain left in jar

All the mobile people
Why can't they leave the room?
All you mobile people
Turn down your ringtone tune!

Father McKenzie
Preaching a powerful sermon when someone's phone rings
Some song by P!nk
Look at him waiting
Can't they say 'I can't talk now I'm in church!' then hang up?
But they never stop

All the mobile people
Why can't they all shut up?
All you mobile people
Don't EVER yell 'Wassap!'

Ah, can't you shut up mobile people?
Ah, sick of all these mobile people

Eleanor Rigby
Delays the sermon for hours until she says 'Bye!'
I wonder why
Father McKenzie
Didn't go try to stop her habit once and for all
He had no gall

All the mobile people
Their habit still goes on
All the mobile people
Still yack upon their phone
Nothing like a Beatles rip to relax your skills after a brutal Aerosmith rip.

Something about you and phones Conquerer, your best parodies sprout up because of them. Great job with this one, I loved how you kept the original characters.

Oh, come ON, people! Where are y'all? This is brilliant, bobpie...as Matty commented, keeping the original characters but putting them in a new story was a GENIUS idea...and shows that you're really thinking outside the box. Bravo. 555+

I like this very much, and I think I'm going to print out about 100 copies of it and hand them out to idiots on the bus and the train who think I love to hear their revolting taste in music announce at 130 db that they have a phone call. And to whoever invented cell phone ringtones - I hope you die in the most disgusting way possible. Great parody, should be required reading in all elementary schools. 5s.

See above: Still as clever as the first day I read it. Great job with this one Conqy.

(dec2.6) next to the clever title sub, the best thing about this was tieing Eleanor Rigby and Father McKenzie into the same context - even the OS doesn't do that - good one bobpie - 555

(DEC 2.6) Up there with your best work, bobpie....this should do VERY well in this round.

What K said... though I was kind of hoping it would be Father McKenzie's mobile that was going to ring ;-)

Decathlon...I LOVED this, seriously...although I fear that I am probably one of those people that annoy the crap out of you. I'm not so thoughtless as to answer a call during Church...but I DO have a individualized song/ring tone assigned to every person that is in my phone...so you'd be hearing a wide variety of annoying songs if we were to hang out for too long. ; ) Excellent, seriously. "Don't EVER yell 'Wassap!'" had me L-ing OL!

(Dec2) I think that the idea was very creative. . and it is one of your better works, kinda turned the song on itself by using the original characters.

(SOTM Dec 2007) - What is truly annoying about these phones is when you are having a conversation with someone and their phone rings. You become immediately and rudely interrupted by the incoming call. Hey I had the floor here first so why should I be pre-empted by the phone. It's not as if they don't have voice mail. I usually just walk off when this happens hoping they take the hint but they rarely do. Well done parody to an annoying situation.

(SOTM) see above, bobpie, and this is an example of how far your pacing and parody-writing has improved imo - very accomplished writing

(SOTM) See above....easily one of your best, bobpie. A real triumph.
Below Average Dave (badave.com) - January 31, 2008 - Report this comment
(SOTM) I still think that was one of your better writes, the way you pulled off this song, if taken to a longer song with the same patience and detail, could turn you from a middle of the pack to a front runner real quick I think. . .good job TCOP

(ABC) Brilliant, hilarious, and I agree totally. Pacing a tad rough, but not too. 5-5-5. BTW, last year a guy on the bus, making three phone calls, yakked loudly. I caught his name and part of his address. I looked him up, and I sent him an anonymous letter!
