The Lyrics

A song about Entities. This makes little sense, but TT got me thinking about them yesterday....
Entities
‡ in my ♥, you see...
'cause Ì cannot use them properly
What do I Ç, in entities?

¤
It does not make any ¢s to me
£ my head but I find no relief
From this here fleet of entities

Ý - Ï am perplexed, Â, & can't find peace
Sø - I'll - have tó gõ - to €s - and entities....

©'s
Not like a ®
The ∞ ♣ me fine
This parody is ašínine

Ý - Ï am perplexed, Â, & can't find peace
Sø - I'll - have tó gõ - to €s - and entities....

Entity,
≤ this dit-TY
(those lines are more apart than 6°s)
Seems entities are not for Μé

(hmm hmm hmm hmm HTML..)

~~Translation~~

Entities
Double dagger in my heart, you see...
'cause I cannot use them properly
What do I see, in entities?

Currency
It does not make any "cents" to me
Pound my head but I find no relief
From this here fleet - of entities

Why - I am perplexed, circumflexed, and can't find peace
So - I'll - have to go - to euros - and entities....

Copyright's,
Not like a registered trade mark sign
The Infinity Club suits me fine
This parody is asinine

Why - I am perplexed, circumflexed , and can't find peace
So - I'll - have to go - to euros - and entities....

Entity,
Less than or equal to this dit-TY
Those lines are more apart than six degrees
Seems entities are not for me...

(hmm hmm hmm hmm HTML..)

Was this based off of Tommy Turtle's "Mathy Man" yesterday, because he also used a lot of symbols in that parody.

You've circumflexed your parodic muscles here. Gravely and acutely funny. I'm laughing umlaut.

Symbolly magnificent.

Wow! This is the first parody that I have seen which has visual appeal in the literal sense! And there was me thinking ASCII art isn;t allowed in parodies! The parody was great as well. 555

Cleverly concocted...but, how would you sing these symbols in their true manner?
Red Ant - September 27, 2007 - Report this comment
Thanks Matthias, Alvin, John, Aggy, Jason and AFW.

Matthias: Based on our subsequent comments, yes.

Alvin: Thanks!

John and Aggy: Great puns

Jason: ASCII art probably wouldn't appear correctly due to the center alignment here.

AFW: This parody is for reading only: you could sing it if you had a video to explain things, but as a recording it would never work. I am considering doing two parodies of "I love Rock and Roll", one called "I ♥ Baby Seals", the other "I ♣ Baby Seals" - those entities would work in a song - maybe not the second one though lol.

Well, I guess the test you were referring to last night worked-eh?

PS to TT (if he gets this): The ONLY symbol that was screwed up (on my screen anyway) was the "function" symbol in my bottom comment - it appears that entity is no longer valid.

Thanks Dave, and yes -- for the most part.

The circumflex and the middle symbol in the bottom comment didn't show for me (in Firefox). Translating was a good idea.... Excellent spin-off. VVV.

Something truly symbolic in this... but I couldn't get the line with Ç (c with cedilla) to scan ;-)
