Original Song Title:

"Strawberry Fields Forever"

Original Performer:

The Beatles

Parody Song Title:

"I Tried to Warn You 'Bout Heather"

Parody Written by:

Michael Pacholek

The Lyrics

Partially inspired by Red Ant, although he was going for what could've been the "before picture." This is most certainly the after, specifically after Paul has toked up, and the ghost of his chum John has appeared to him, and he says...
(instrumental opening)

(John Lennon)
She will take you down!
I was telling you,
"Don't marry Mills!"
She'll give you chills!
It's nothing to give scoff about!
I tried to warn you 'bout Heather!

Living ain't easy with eyes glazed.
Misunderstood that girl, you see.
It's getting hard to live with her.
It did not work out.
It was so obvious to me.

She will take you down!
I was telling you,
"Don't marry Mills!"
She'll give you chills!
It's nothing to give scoff about!
I tried to warn you 'bout Heather!

Yoko, I think now says, "Tee-hee!"
I mean, I know, that's kind of low.
You used the pot to go tuned-out.
But it's all right.
This time, well, it was just too bad.

She will take you down!
I was telling you,
"Don't marry Mills!"
She'll give you chills!
It's nothing to give scoff about!
I tried to warn you 'bout Heather!

Sent you messages so heavenly.
But you know you thought it was a dream.
I know, my song, "Imagine," it turned out to be wrong.
But on this, I think you now agree!

She will take you down!
I was telling you,
"Don't marry Mills!"
She'll give you chills!
It's nothing to give scoff about!
I tried to warn you 'bout Heather!

(George Harrison)
I tried to warn you 'bout Heather!

(both John and George)
We tried to warn you 'bout Heather!

(instrumental fadeout -- emphasis on the "mental")

("latnem" eht no sisahpme -- tuoedaf latnemurtsni)

(Heather Mills)
I'll... bury... Paul!

john was the brains, guess i never thought of young paul as too clever with "imagine" came hope in spite of the dope at least now george and john are together. i could easily "imagine" john lecturing paul from "on high". john was my hero. You did a good job on this, and the backwards ending was an inventive touch! Peace out!

The backwards part is good, jango, but the last line is even better, because it's eerily prophetic.

Paul should have gone to the John before he said "I do". 555

Did I mention the "one-legged gold-digger" joke already?

I thought this was great, loved the "It was so obvious to me" and the backwards reference at the end :)

Wow, two parodies of the same song posted on the same day from an idea of mine! Thanks for the intro credit, Michael. This makes an awesome companion parody to TT's, but by itself it doesn't have a leg to stand on! (just kidding). Funny "after"-take. 5s.
