The Lyrics

Grumble grumble gripe gripe... I can't be too upset at losing to the Detroit Tigers, since they haven't been in the Playoffs since the late Reagan years... But still... The New York Daily News had it right: Once again, in October, Alex Rodriguez is "A-WOL"!
When it's "Batter up"
you seem enraged.
I don't hit enough
on this big stage.
I have wasted time.
My groove's so hard to find.
I have lost my mind.
And you won't see me.
(You won't see me.)
You won't see me.
(You won't see me.)

I don't know why
I just seem to hide.
But I can't come through
when game is tied.
I can't seem to play
and "Boo!" is all you say.
When you look my way
then, you won't see me.
(You won't see me.)
You won't see me.
(You won't see me.)

Time after time
it is me that you've been dissin'.
I wouldn't mind
if I hit what I was missin'!

Though chances are few
they're filled with tears.
And since I lost games
it feels like years.
Yes, it seems so long
since that ball was gone.
And I just can't go on.
And you won't see me.
(You won't see me.)
You won't see me.
(You won't see me.)

Time after time
it is me that you've been dissin'.
I wouldn't mind
if I hit what I was missin'!

Though chances are few
they're filled with tears.
And since I lost games
it feels like years.
Yes, it seems so long
since that ball was gone.
And I just can't go on.
And you won't see me.
(You won't see me.)
You won't see me.
(You won't see me.)
If this is how it's gonna be for as long as he's in Pinstripes, then we gotta get rid of him. As Yogi Berra would've said if he'd thought of it first, "If he's not going to be there, he shouldn't be there."

Great OS and paces perfectly... not a huge ball fan but based on all your in depth sports parodies I've read, I know its gotta be right on!

TJC: If only A-Rod was! Malcolm: If only A-Rod had! But, I have to face it, the better team won. I hope the Tigers take it all. Anybody who's lived in Detroit these past 22 years since they last won it all deserves it, even with three titles each for the Red Wings and Pistons.
