The Lyrics

In Squirrel's den there is a poster showing Post-it tabs
Of every nut he took the labor to sto'
And all this winter he'll eat at home
Hibernating so

In the rail yard there is a hobo in a brown boxcar
The little squirrel laughs at him for wanton lack
And the hobo really needs a snack
In winter's change, very strange

Squirrel brains between my ears and I don't mind
There beneath my hair's retreating line
They're split, but they aren't cracked

In Squirrel's den there is a mother squirrel with a belly fat
And in her noggin' is the fam'ly of her dreams
She wants to raise her growing fam'ly keen
She's keen parenting

Squirrel brains between my cheeks and yellow teeth
They grind away with a strong belief
I take it, something's whack?

Inside the shelter he has huddled from the stormy blast
The haggard bum is nibbling peanuts like a knave
And still he feels like it's time to play
He plays everyday

In Squirrel's den the mother feeds their growing family
She sees the hobo sitting waiting for a train
And then the father squirrel brings some din
From the ground it came, very strange.

Squirrel brains between my ears and they're all mine
They still know the Old "New Years" Lang Signe
I think, therefore I crack
Squirrel brains comprise my thoughts and frontal lobe
Doctors say I need an anal probe
Squirrel brains

Funny, Lionel...good job...I ALMOST started to make an issue over pace...because in my own little Squirrel-like brain I was pronouncing "Squirrel" as a one-syllable word, "Squirl", which is how I usually use it in my "Rocky/Bullwinkle/Boris/Natasha" parodies...and then I realized YOU were using "Squer-rell" and your pacing fell right exactly into place...Anyway, long story made slightly shorter here..."5's"...that's pronounced, "Fii-ives", right?

Well thanks y'all for da votes. And I do believe it is PROnunciated either way.
Paul Robinson - September 21, 2006 - Report this comment
Well, I could say the squirrel can go both ways, but some of you might put some sort of inappropriate connotation to that, so I won't ~ ~ ~
