The Lyrics

As in Rick Cormier...the guy who I have to do a tribute for in this contest-thingy...yeah.
Rick! He is a par'dist
Rick! Since March the 25th
Rick, you know he now lives in
MA*

When at a wedding, wrote a par'dy for his mate
And so he roasted him based on Frank Sinatra's 'My Way'
He soon found AmIRight, sent some songs he'd done before
But by this I mean the parodies he did record

First par'dy was of Louis Armstrong
Soon he parodied Guess Who's "She's Come Undone"
Rick Cormier's par'dies can't go wrong
You can count on Rick C

Now Rick's won a lot of SOTM** contests
Like recently in May, with his song "Chia Pests"
'Fore that with "Shopping With A Weapon In My Hand"
"Don't Whine At Me, Angelina" which was his first, how grand!

"I Saw Blondie Doing Dagwood's Boss"
Based on "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus"
Rarely gets straight 2's or 3's or 4's
Most straight 5's for Rick C

Now him and I joined this sad game on the same day
Which makes you wonder why we don't get voted the same way
It ain't coincidence, it's so simple to see
It's 'cause he's much better than me and writes more par'dies

Rick Cormier has done eighty-five
While I've only managed to do sixty-five
It will take too long before we tie
Contact him at ricloose@yahoo.com***
*Pronounced "Mah"**Pronounced "Ess-Oh-Tee-Em"***Pronounced "Rick-Loose-At-Ya-Hoo-Dot-Com"Oh, and this and this.

Thanks, Pieman! Looks like you were pretty thorough with your investigation of me here. I still thing it's amazing that we both started here on the same day. Nicely done..555 :-)

I had a couple stumbling blocks as far as pacing goes...but well deserved tributes always get a little softer look from me...=) Nicely done...three cheers for Rick! (and for the conqueror!)

Good one, bob! Rick is one of my fave parodists, and always deserves tribute. I, like Arwen, had a few pacing stumbles, but not enough to not give you the full taco. 555

Great OS (was this your first Beatles' parody?) and great tribute to Rick, pieman. You worked in quite of a bit of his material here. 555

Although I probably would have liked a little less self-reference, it's interesting to know that you guys started on the same day, and a good job in general.

Well done, I liked the timeline you used on Rick's work.
