The Lyrics

Note that this time, unlike with my recent "You've Got to Hide A-Rod Away," I properly credited the Beatles, who, no doubt, were banned in the fascist future of "V for Vendetta." Actually, I kept hoping one of the film's old Englishmen would have his white hair spiked like the punks of '77. "No future" indeed! This is from the point of view of the bad guys, for whom "finger" means "identify and arrest" -- it's not dirty, though what they tried to do to Evey Hammond (Natalie Portman) at the beginning of the film sure was.
Last night I tried to "finger" some girl.
He didn't like my bid for young girl.

Come on!
(Come on!)
Come on!
(Come on!)
Come on!
(Come on!)
Come on!
(Come on!)
Please, please, V!
Oh no!
Don't kill me too!

People, we go and try to cheat 'em!
We won't let them enjoy no freedom!

Come on!
(Come on!)
Come on!
(Come on!)
Come on!
(Come on!)
Come on!
(Come on!)
Please, please, V!
Oh no!
Don't kill me too!

I don't want to sound complaining
but I see it's pouring rain
on Portman!
(Miss Portman!)
I don't like your multitasking
underneath your Guy Fawkes masking!
Ooooh...
Oh, no!
If you face me, I'm through!

This night, the fifth day of November
it won't do me good to surrender!

Come on!
(Come on!)
Come on!
(Come on!)
Come on!
(Come on!)
Come on!
(Come on!)
Please, please, V!
Oh no!
Don't kill me too!
Oh no!
Don't kill me too!
Oh no!
Don't kill me too!
