The Lyrics

What would you think if I said I like "Dune"
Would you stand up and walk out on me?

Lend me Spock-ears and I'll raise an eye-brow
And I'll wryly say things logically

(Oh) I get by with a little help from Star Trek
(Oh) I get high with a little help from Star Trek
Gonna try with a little help from Star Trek

What does Kirk do when he loves a new babe?
(Does it worry him that she's a clone?)

How does she feel when he sends her away?
(Is she sad because she lost his bone?)

No, she says "Bye!" to that little jerk on Star Trek!
She says "Bye!" to that stupid Kirk on Star Trek!
No more thighs for that little Kirk on Star Trek!

(Do you need anybody?)
My needs are out of this world!

(Could it be anybody?)
A green Orion slave-girl!

(Would you believe in Pon-Farr at first-sight?)
Yes I'm certain of it every seven years!

(What can you smell when Spock turns out the light?)
I can smell his sweaty Vulcan ears!

(Oh) I get by with a little help from Star Trek
(Yeah) I get high with a little help from Star Trek
Gonna try with a little help from Star Trek

(Do you need to get a life?)
I just need some nerd to love!

(Could she be-come your nerd-wife?)
On-ly if Star Trek she loves!

(Oh) I get by with a little help from Star Trek
(Yes) I get high with a little help from Star Trek
(Yes) I get by with a little help from Star Trek
With a little help from Star Trek!

555 for you, again haven't heard TOS in a while, so I wasn't going to dock you points on my own ignorance, especially since I saw 2 555 probably from people who do know exactly and wasn't going to dock you either for doing this on ST:TOS as IMHO TNG is better ( like them both though ). Gratz.

Johnny: You do know that Patrick Stewart was in "Dune" before he was in "ST:TNG," don't you? And the late, great Gene Siskel was right: "Everone knows that 'Dune' stunk." Know 1: That was two of the worst puns I've ever heard. AFW: And that one makes three.

Michael Pacholek: Do you know that before that he also had a several-eppys-spanning role in "I Claudius"? I'm telling this because I know that you are interested in history and because over here in Europe it has been voted "Best TV series of all time" on several occasions. And "Roman Emperors", there might be a long term parody project in there for the right writer. :-)

Thanks, Michael. Yes, I remember Patrick playing Gurney Halleck in "Dune" and Sejanus, a young officer, in "I, Claudius", a great series on the decadence and decline of Rome. Patrick Stewart's acting ability is to William Shatner's as Xena's fighting ability is to Joxer's. NERD ALERT ON MYSELF. ;-)

Michael, I'm sure you know the worst puns are the best, got my mother with a bad one tonight when she broke a egg she was frying. My response: "The yokes on you"

Excellent parody...Glad I didn't leave just because you started out with Dune!

Good work, John! I will vote 5-5-5 on it when I get to my office tomorrow.

Know 1: No, I didn't know Stewart was in "I, CLAVDIVS." I came upon it one time on PBS, but it was already in Chapter 12 out of 13, so I missed a lot. But I enjoyed Sir Derek Jacobi's work doing voiceovers for Ken Burns' "Baseball." And I don't know if anyone else on this site has tackled the Roman era, but I did "Cleopatra" to "Come Together," and it really kicked some asp. Certainly nobody stabbed me in the back over it. Johnny: Oh, come on, I think Shatner is at least up to Iolaus' level. Ant: Now you've got egg on your face.
