The Lyrics

Newt Gingrich, apparently, wants Republicans to think he's qualified to be President, by NOT reading his memos. Most of his memos, however, have little to do with national security. His memos all seem to have the same message: "Your 15 minutes of fame were up 15 years ago!"
We come upon the creep Newt G.
A grandfather, says he.
A round nasty clown, mean rude gnome.

Talking all night.
Wants Obama fight.
Well, campaign is broke up.
He should've gone home.

So hoist up the Newt G fail.
Hoist on his own petard.
All those distractions
he surely should've gone home.

Should've gone home.
Why didn't Gingrich go home?
Yeah, yeah.
Well, campaign is broke up.
He should've gone home.

With power he was drunk.
Told us a lot of bunk.
In 1998, we threw him away.
He must be stoned.
Should've left well alone.
Yeah, yeah.
Well, campaign is broke up.
He should've gone home.

So hoist up the Newt G fail.
(Hoist up the Newt G)
Hoist on his own petard.
(Hoist on his own pe... )
All those distractions
he surely should've gone home.
(Should've gone home.)

Should've gone home.
(Home, should've gone home.)
Why didn't Gingrich go home?
(Hoist up the Newt G!)
(Hoist up the Newt G!)
Well, campaign is broke up.
He should've gone home.
(Should've gone home.)

In Iowa, he had snits.
Went down to land of grits.
Should've quit while was still in State full of corn.

Should've gone home.
(Ahhhh... )
Why didn't Gingrich go home?
(Ahhhh... )

This is the worst cam...
paign we have been on!

So hoist up the Newt G fail.
(Hoist up the Newt G)
Hoist on his own petard.
(Hoist on his own pe... )
All those distractions
he surely should've gone home.
(Should've gone home.)

Should've gone home.
(Home, should've gone home.)
Why didn't Gingrich go home?
(Hoist up the Newt G!)
(Hoist up the Newt G!)
Well, campaign is broke up.
He should've gone home.
(Should've gone home.)
(fadeout)
For the record, I did NOT write the entire parody around the line "State full of corn." Though if I'd thought of that a couple of weeks ago, when Newt's campaign was collapsing in Iowa, I might have gone against my own advice and tried that.

Newter Gingrich Now - January 26, 2012 - Report this comment
It seems a lot of American people are fickle. I remember the Grinch popping off the chops when I was in college. He's a dirtbag now and he was then. Some people are nostalgic for Dumbya and his corruption and such mass short memory is very dangerous. We must keep the past alive enough so that we don't repeat the wrongs. Good job!
