Parody Song Title:

"Mouse with a Laser Gun"

Parody Written by:

Michael McVey

The Lyrics

There is a mouse on my new PC
That has a laser gun,
And it's been the ruin of many Taliban.
Osama, yes, he was one!

My father, he played Pac Man®
While I ate jelly beans.
My mother, she had different tastes,
She played Centipede®.

Now the only thing a gamer needs
Is a PC and a mouse,
And the only time he's satisfied
Is when gunfire fills the house!

Oh mother tell your children
Not to do what I have done,
Spent my life on Counterstrike®
Gunning down Taliban.

Well, I got one hand on the keyboard,
The other hand on my gun.
I'm scoring points likeya won't believe,
But the terrorists still won :(.

Well, there is a mouse on my PC
That has a laser gun,
And it's been the ruin of many Taliban,
But the terrorists still won :(.

I'd like more details about this mouse with a laser gun rather than stories about video game playing, that would have been cool, but this isn't bad at all.

True enough. When I started that was my intent, but it wound up making more sense, given the lyrics of the original, to lampoon video game addiction.

I've heard ot "The Mouse That Roared," but this is ridiculous.

(Ages) I read this more as a thinly-veiled satire on our presence in Iraq more than a video game lampoon---and for that, I give praise to this parody.

Hmmm, I think I see what you were going for, I just didn't find this all that funny though to be honest. . .sorry, I think this parody is more on the serious side than anything.

(Ages) As a gamer, I got the humor. Well, except for the fact that the Father and Mother played Pac Man and Centipede, and that's what I played as a kid. I'm...I'm old now? Damn, that's not funny McVey! :-)
