The Lyrics

AARRRHHH !!!
Leave yer fears behind,
Come with us an' find,
The treasures of a journey to King Neptune's mighty brine!

Come along if ye care,
Come along if ye dare,
Take a ride with the grandest pirates ye'll find!

Beyond the seas we fought,
Beyond what's right or not,
Across the streams of blood-soaked screams of blighters ye'll garrote!

Come along if ye care,
Come along if ye dare,
Take a ride with the grandest pirates ye'll find!

Blighter, realize...
Ye'll prob'ly be surprised...

The sea's a land, unknown to man,
'bout which we pirates brag!

An' now's the hour, we're hoistin' our,
Jolly Roger flag!

Come along if ye care,
Come along if ye dare,
Take a ride with the grandest pirates ye'll find!

Ye'll have the grandest time,
On yonder foaming brine!

Cast-off yer lines,
Come journey to King Neptune's mighty brine!

Cast-off yer lines!
Come journey to King Neptune's mighty brine!

Neptune's mighty brine!

NEPTUNE'S MIGHTY BRINE!

(AARRHH!!) NEPTUNE'S MIGHTY BRINE! (AARRHH!!)

(AARRHH!!) NEPTUNE'S MIGHTY BRINE! (AARRHH!!)

ARRRGGGHHHH, MATEY! The Amboy Dukes? Wow! I remember the group name, but not any of their songs. I remember my brother, David, had one of their albums, but I don't think I ever played it when he wasn't looking or around, like I did with his Beatles, Stones, Donovan, Tim Buckley, and, for some reason, The West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band...but I be givin' ye a row o' 5's here - because it be a grand Pirate tale....Perfessional courtesy, aye...

I'll resist the temptation, or even the fourth top, to see the nautical theme and make an "Edmund Fitzgerald" joke here, but... I understand the Monkees were going to record this, but they left the lyric sheet... brace yourselves... in Davy Jones' locker.
