Parody Song Title:

"Normans"

Parody Written by:

John A. Barry

The Lyrics

Normans, zu-u-u-u-ut!
Normans, fou-ou-ou-ou-outre!
Normans, Normans have come.

Aelfhere is no francophone,
But now there's Rhône in his home.
His appetite he now calls "bon,"
Because of Normans.
Guillaume said, "West we gotta go;
Britannia’s beau; we gotta show
All those Angles, merde they don't know.
We're gonna storm 'em!"

Normans board their boats and then,
Normans rip women and men
Normans show 'em a new langue
Called French; they wench. . .Medieval stench.

Normans, zu-u-u-u-ut!
Normans, bou-ou-ou-ou-ouche!
Normans, Normans ain't mum.

Orrick calls a Norman "mate,"
And his reply is "Qu'est-ce que vous faites?"
But Orrick mishears him, thinks he says "fête"
And starts to pour gin.

Norman French Angles don't love;
Normans place it high above
Normal talk; and now were stuck with
Words that end in T-I-O-N.

Normans, zu-u-u-u-ut!
Normans, fou-ou-ou-ou-outre!
Normans, Normans, those bums!

Good job, "TION" reminds me the "shin" in the old Concentration puzzles. I had the home edition, wonder what happened to it...

Very good job - studying British history is one of my favourite hobbies. From the last Romans C. 408 A.D. through the Angles/Saxons/Jutes/Friesians to the Vikings & up to the end of Norman rule with the death of King Stephen in 1154. PS - I reckon we'd have had 'em if King Harold & most of his top men hadn't have had to march up north to fight his brother Tostig & Harald Hardraada a few weeks earlier
