Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

An obscure one-hit wonder from the 60s: http://www.mp3lyrics.org/s/sue-thompson/norman/
Norman, screw-ew-ew-ew loose,
Norman, loo-oo-oo-oon's loose,
Norman/woman, mom's love.

Janet talks with Norm, alone about the crone. . .
"Put in home?"
He don't like this thought; he'll intone
"No snarling gorgon
Is my mother," he says, "although
Sometimes she'll go a bit mad." So
He dons dress and puts on a show
As crazy woman.

Norman sometimes is a him,
Norman sometimes sports a hem,
Norman's schizo. . .gets that yen,
Norman shows that tart it's wrong
To tempt the "him"; mom taunts within: "Go!"

Norman, screw-ew-ew-ew loose,
Norman, loo-oo-oo-oon's loose,
Norman/woman, mom's love.

Mommy tells him, "Don't temp fate,
'cause you want a date
With that girl. Wait!
I want you to and eviscerate
That brazen woman."

Momma is his only love;
His impulses get a shove:
Puts on a dress but no gloves 'n'. . .
Shivvin'. . .luggin'. . .trunk then. . .mud in.

Norman, screw-ew-ew-ew loose,
Norman, loo-oo-oo-oon's loose,
Norman/woman, mom's love.

Sir John . . . Now this "Norm" really moves! Great choice of OS, . . .especially the chorus !

Haven't seen one since I arrived here and haven't looked thru' the archives, but surely it can't be that no one's previously done a Bates rif on this "natural" host ???!!!?? Oh well ... well used it is in this one. (But I wouldn't exactly call the song obscure. It got tons of airplay when new, around '61, on the heels of two-hit Thompson's other one, "Sad Movies (Always Make Me Cry)," which actually wasn't a bad song at all within the R&R idiom of its time. Now I may have to dig up an finish a spoof ot hat OS that I began and abandoned some weeks ago.) :-)

I rememeber this song from when I was quite young - like maybe 2nd grade. Wish I'd thought of it. Extremely well done Bates horrody.
