A homespun scene, it seemed to work
(High school and first dates and life in the 50s)
It shall be a series in prime
(ABC lineup to join in the fall)

Viewers did find it a show they could stand
(On an average night's bill a sprinkling of laughs)
Richie, Ralph Malph, Potsie, and Fonz
(Something to watch between a few beers)
The Cunninghams and their zany young friends
(A group of nerds have adolescent fun)
Weren't the worst thing on at the time

Then Fonzie's windbreaker morphed into leather
(He bellows "Ayyy" with increased exclamation)
Richie, Joanie, Chachi, and Al
(Soon Anson Williams is singing at will)
And then over time, the show took a header
(And before a live audience, acting was rotten)
It was all-Fonz, all of the time
