The Lyrics

I just wrote an essay about redemption
It was fine, but teacher said
that my word count's incorrect, and
that the pages did not reach ten

You can only use 12 point font
you can only use 12 point font
you can only use 12 point font
'cause it shortens lines
so you must write
more than you need

I tried writing 'bout sanitation
to get my fair share of abuse
writing much showing all the relations
but my 50-font page, I couldnt use
'cause

You can only use 12 point font
you can only use 12 point font
you can only use 12 point font
'cause it shortens lines
so you must write
More than you need

I then tried to get a high score
so I wrote so great it killed
I was typing 'till I was dizzy
And yeah, it came out pretty ill
I decided that it would now be perfect
and so it was what the teacher read
He said the writing was excellant
but the font was too big, so I failed instead
then he said

You can only use 12 point font
you can only use 12 point font
you can only use 12 point font
'cause it shortens lines
so you must write
more than you need

I wrote an essay about redemption
for this class they call english
I had practiced at the art of perfection
So I used 12 point, and I passed
thats because

You can only use 12 point font
you can only use 12 point font
you can only use 12 point font
'cause it shortens lines
so you must write
more than you need

You can only use 12 point font
you can only use 12 point font
you can only use 12 point font
'cause it shortens lines
so you must write
more than you need

I liked the idea behind the song. I remember my creative use of fonts and margins when writing papers.

LOL! I remember back in the 'old days' (waaaaay before computers) doing essays in junior high and writing REALLY BIG so I wouldn't have to write as much... ;-D

I'm so old , all my essays were hand written. What's a typewriter? Heaven help us, if we had crappy handwriting.
