The Lyrics

This is the man inside the dream's account of and reaction to his food fighting with each other. Searching for songs by tone-def and reading the songs indicated as part of the opera will make this make more sense
I open up my fridge and can't believe my eyes
It seems that all my food now has come alive
The spreads and the condiments seem to be at war
Now I think that I should shop at a different store

Now I can see why container style matters
Everything made of glass happens to be shattered
The butter just missed the mayonnaise instead it hit my arm
It's a good thing it isn't glass that would have caused me harm

I'm looking for my mind since I think it's lost
I'd like to get it fixed no matter what the cost
Or maybe my food really is possessed
Of the two choices I'm not sure which is best

I think that I should leave something is not right
I'm not fit to live alone if there was no fight
And if there was, the food's not safe to eat
Whatever was controlling it could start controlling me

The food stopped moving now all condiments are gone
When a whole side is wiped out a war can't go on
I thought about that more and it might not be right
The spreads might find some other food with which to pick a fight

Hmm, hmm, hmm

I wanna see my food be, food be still
Still as stone, still as ponds
I really wish my food wouldn't move around the fridge
I wanna see my food be, food be, food be still
Yeah!
