The Lyrics

From www.wordorigins.org: The term "kangaroo court," meaning a criminal proceeding that is conducted for show and where the defendant is inevitably going to be found guilty, is not of Australian origin. The earliest use of the term was recorded in Texas, of all places, circa 1850. The term Kangaroo court was unknown in Australia until it was introduced there from America. No one knows how this term arose, but it is usually assumed to be in reference to how the defendant will be bounced from the court to the gallows.
Blimey! Kangaroo, this court!
Looks like I'm going down!
Blimey! Kangaroo, this court!
Looks like I'm going down!

Pulled me for a big stop, cop?
Pulled me for a big stop?
Press your case in court, it'll flop, cop!
Why pick me for a stop?

All together now!
Blimey! Kangaroo, this court!
Looks like I'm going down!
Blimey! Kangaroo, this court!
Looks like I'm going down!

Police takin' me back, Jack?
Police takin' me back.
Did the cops mistake me for black, Jack?
Police takin' me back.

All together now!
Blimey! Kangaroo, this court!
Looks like I'm going down!
Blimey! Kangaroo, this court!
Looks like I'm going down!

Calling my lawyers now, wow!
Calling my lawyers now!
"Dewey, Cheatham & Howe," wow!
Calling my lawyers now!

All together now!
Blimey! Kangaroo, this court!
Looks like I'm going down!
Blimey! Kangaroo, this court!
Looks like I'm going down!

See the facts that they fudge, Judge?
See the facts that they fudge?
I think the prosecutor has grudge, Judge.
See the facts that they fudge!

All together now!
Blimey! Kangaroo, this court!
Looks like I'm going down!
Blimey! Kangaroo, this court!
Looks like I'm going down!

Let drug dealers go loose, Lou?
Let drug dealers go loose?
But set me up for a noose, Lou?
Let drug dealers go loose?

All together now!
Blimey! Kangaroo, this court!
Looks like I'm going down!
Blimey! Kangaroo, this court!
Looks like I'm going down!

(slower)

Verdict should set me free, Lee!
Verdict should set me free!
Aw, you believed the LAPD, Lee!
Looks like I'll never be free!

(faster)

All together now!
Blimey! Kangaroo, this court!
Looks like I'm going down!
Blimey! Kangaroo, this court!
Looks like I'm going down!

(slower)

Please give me pardon, Guv, luv.
Please give me pardon, Guv.

(faster)

No, I've got the needle in my arm, harm
and into death, I've got a shove!

All together now!
Blimey! Kangaroo, this court!
Looks like I'm going down!
Blimey! Kangaroo, this court!
Looks like I'm going down!
All together now!
Blimey! Kangaroo, this court!
Looks like I'm going down!
Blimey! Kangaroo, this court!
Looks like I'm going down!
Disclaimer: As far as I know, the firm "Dewey, Cheatham & Howe" goes back at least as far as early Johnny Carson. And after seeing John Barry's "TMKDS" parody and rewriting "Flowers On the Wall" with its reference to "Captain Kangaroo," I felt I had to do this one.
