Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

I start it off with my own home town.
07003
That's Bloomfield, New Jersey.
14708
That's Alma, in New York State!
Ah, but... 27609
is Raleigh, North Carolin'.
I'm a man who knows all of those.
King of Zip Code!

04401, sayin'... that's Zip Code for Bangor, Maine.
Mail 60602
for Chicago union dues!
I joke!
666...01, wow...
That's Topeka, Fred Phelps' town!
I'm a man who knows all of those.
King of Zip Code!

I know every carrier in every truck.
And every Christmas, I tip them five bucks.
And every office, in every town
I learn every new Zip Code that's comin' around!
I sing...

Try 90024
L.A. for a Westwood score.
Or 33301
Fort Lauderdale, spring break fun!
Ah, but 44708?
Your car has Ohio plate.
I'm a man who knows all of those.
King of Zip Code!

07003
That's Bloomfield, New Jersey.
14708
That's Alma, in New York State!
Ah, but... 27609
is Raleigh, North Carolin'.
I'm a man who knows all of those.
King of Zip Code!
Worcester, Massachusetts, hometown of our fearless leader: 01601.

I used to work in an office which sent a lot of mail to people in Kansas City, Kansas. Everyone would ask me for the various Zip Codes, which I could name fairly accurately. A wonderful, clever idea for a song. I see you also made the 666 connection for the late, unlamented Fred Phelps. The same would also apply to some recent governors and members of the Kansas legislature.

The sad part, Patrick, is that, 20 years ago, as a newly-elected Congressman, Sam Brownback seemed like an extremist, and now, as Governor, Tea Partiers think he's too moderate. How far to the right do they have to be to consider Brownback a moderate?
