The Lyrics

For simplicity's sake, I chose not to do this with the accent.
Last night as I got home about a half past ten
there was a report on the TV about that Governor Davis man.
I kept my cool, I ain't no fool, let me tell you what I did then:
I filed some papers to run for Guv just like old Ronnie Reagan.

I run for Gov'nor, Maria, a Kennedy, my wife.
Sacramento for my home, save California's life.
I run for Gov'nor, Maria, a Shriver too, my wife.
Gotta read the Constitution to avoid some new strife.

You've been many things, but most of all, a liberal journalist to me.
And it's times like this I feel I'm glad I went with the GOP.
Was I wrong to work out, and put films on my plate?
Don't work, that Gray, he's just cost me my State.

I run for Gov'nor, Maria, a Kennedy, my wife.
Sacramento for my home, save California's life.
I run for Gov'nor, Maria, a Shriver too, my wife.
Gotta read the Constitution to avoid some new strife.

When a man is an actor, it's hard to understand
that he would be more qualified than a career politician.
I never really noticed how thin my resume'.
It just so happens I'm not as smart as that Governor they call Gray.

I run for Gov'nor, Maria, a Kennedy, my wife.
Sacramento for my home, save California's life.
I run for Gov'nor, Maria, a Shriver too, my wife.
Gotta read the Constitution to avoid some new strife.
I run for Gov'nor, Maria, a Kennedy, my wife.
Sacramento for my home, save California's life.
I run for Gov'nor, Maria, a Shriver too, my wife.
Gotta read the Constitution to avoid some new strife.
(repeat 'til fade)

Good parody Michael - Had to ding you one on pace. "That she would find more pleasure in the arms of another man"- - - "that he would be more qualified than a career politician" Seems like you had just one count too many in your line. Otherwise it was great.
