I can't speak German either! When I hear Trio's "Da Da Da," it sounds to me like they're chanting, "Da da da. Clicky clicky clicky click. Da da da."
I think you'll find it's: "Da, da, da, ich lieb' dich nicht, ich lieb' dich nicht" (Translation: I don't love you)
Okay, this is the first parody that has actually made me laugh, congrats! I'm just like that too...I sing along to Rammtein but have no idea what any of it means, except "Ich Will" I sing that the lazy way in English =) Love the title btw "an ode to the fact that I cant Speak German" lol!

Rammstein is good atmosphere music, but don't ever believe that their lyrics have too much substance to them. I heard one song of theirs and a friend of mine who is fluent in German basically said it was a whole bunch of violent phrases kind of mushed together. It sounds angry and can be decent mood music, but it's not profound.
Rammstein is VERY profound just because you heard Feuer Frei doesn't mean all their songs are like that. Listen to Hallelujah or Alter Mann, or Seemann, wow these songs are so very violent! *sarcasm* Oh, the paraody did get a few laughs outta me though.

come on now people! Have a sense of humor. I love Rammstein and i have for a really long time now and i still found this to be pretty funny. I'm not trying to be a jerk, And i'm not talking to anyone specific here; i'm just saying, for all of you overzealous fans who r mad, don't feel like you have to come to Rammstein's defense every time someone pokes fun at them. I mean if i were one of them, i'd actually find it pretty annoying.
How come the Rammstein parodies are always making fun of Rammstein? And how can people call themselves fans but can't be bothered to even look up the translation of the lyrics on a reputable fansite? True, some of the songs are really not very lyrical like Feuer Frei and Du Hast, but those songs do better the US market. Most of their other songs are very poetic and profound. If you're gonna parody Rammstein you should do it in german like I did.
