The Lyrics

This is a parody about Fran Fine in the series "The Nanny". http://home.frognet.net/~ritchie/season318.htm#324 It's the 3.24 episode entitled "Green Card" Niles...butler CC Babcock...partner..Niles convinced the Frenchman that she was referred to as CaCa
Ahh,je t'adore, she understands
The need of a nanny.
She's not fit to be a hausfrau,
Dress is audacity.
I see the way that you have dressed
Caused quite a jealous scene
And quite a big embrace,
Oh, of the Fine which he has seen.

Ni-yils sees that CaCa is so maligned
But then, both are so much unkind.

Ahh,je t'adore, now that she gets
Tutor her fate is sealed.
Kid needs his French grades up, and how.
French brand has taken seed.
She's now a jewel-encrusted maid.
She has not been wed still
This has caused such a big embrace
Although her voice is shrill.

Ni-yils sees that CaCa is so maligned
But then, both are so much unkind.
Ni-yils sees that CaCa is so maligned
But then, both are so much unkind.

Ahh,je t'adore, now she did chime
Off to the door she trekked
Ahh,je t'adore phrase, she now knew
It's so easy to get,
Means to shut the door, that is all,
Hope he didn't mean, he'll recall
And though you came with hopes held high
You did not conquer, some ally.

Ni-yils sees that CaCa is so maligned
But then, both are so much unkind.
Ni-yils sees that CaCa is so maligned
But then, both are so much unkind.

I don't really watch that show but the scene with what Fran thought was him asking to shut the door must have been a riot. Well done, Pat. 5s.

All right !! A fellow Procol Harum fan arises and is counted! And I count 555 here - well done, Pat !

Adagio - Nice job. Saw a few moments of a "Nanny" rerun while my Host was channel-surfing the other night. Didn't really how long ago that was. 5-5-5. Loved this Procul Harum song.

Thanks everybody...better response for an old Procul Harum song than I was expecting. :D

I wonder how many P.H. songs Johnny knows? I can only think of three! Anyway, interesting parody Adagio, altho' I am not familiar with the show...

Adagio, despite my INTENSE dislike of all things Fran, this was Fine!

I had a bit of trouble understanding it, despite the numerous reference links. I can tell you this much: The pacing was great! However, having never really seen the Nanny, I feel it'd be wrong for me to input on humor....

I love Procul Harem - great choice for the ABC competition.

Ditto what wdh said.

I know the nanny characters, because some of my relatives watch it. Pacing is excellent. 'Jewel-encrusted maid' was my favorite sub. Humor is at least a 4, but I can't give it a 5 because you didn't rip on the voice, the squeaking, Fran laugh that finds me in my nightmares... doh, but I'm biased because I don't get most of the 'Nanny' jokes in it. Ok, 4.5 on funny. All I've got to do now is round up :c)
Adagio - April 07, 2004 - Report this comment
Thanks a lot, 2nz! I did mention her shrill voice in the second verse, but I know what you mean...can't think of a screachy enough term for her voice. Try tuning her out and watch the mean intereaction between Niles and CeCe. They're funny!
Spaff.com - April 07, 2004 - Report this comment
Well, shoot. The only Procol Harum song I know is A Whiter Shade of Pale, and I've never watched The Nanny, so I'm afraid I'm no good to you here. So, Patagio, how 'bout I just drop in and say HOWDY!
Paul Robinson - April 07, 2004 - Report this comment
Adagio, as I noted back of Jan. 26th, this was a great job!

DTKOS, but I have watched that episode. It was pretty funny.
Bob - June 02, 2004 - Report this comment
DTKOS? Did you mean DKTOS? Because your acronym would stand for "Don't the know original song."
Your Worst Nightmare - June 02, 2004 - Report this comment
Oh, you're right, sorry about that. I get pretty uptight when people call me YWM instead of YWN so I deeply apologize for this horrible mistake.

Apology accepted, I forgive ya.
Your Worst Nightmare - June 03, 2004 - Report this comment

I'm still as clueless as I was in April. Arguably even more so. But kudos for being the only Amirighter to ever use the great word "hausfrau" in a parody. (I'm serious. I searched.)
Adagio - August 18, 2004 - Report this comment
Spaff...I am the only one to use hausfrau? Thanks for looking again. :)

Adagio! I'm thinking ones for even putting Fran Fine into my mind! You made up for it with a fine (pun wasn't even thought of, less intended, till I wrote that) parody, to a great song.

Thanks Claude and Merry.!

Peregrin....*whew*....good thing that I happened to luck out with the song, etc.

Still enjoyable for the wordplay. I tried, but I just can't get into that show. I missed 'hausfrau's cameo first time around. Glad I came back.
