The Lyrics

You can take your heil and shove it. America beat you before. And we will beat you again, unless you surrender now.
(instrumental opening)

Hello, darkness, Trump's old friend.
You've descended on us again.
Americans tell him, "Back off, creep, you.
And as ye have sown soon shall, reap you.
These divisions you have planted in our brains
still remain."

And hear the sound
of heilin's.

In Virginia in Charlottesville
young lady by the Nazis killed.
They have left their sad militia camp
to support a leader cold and damp
for their eyes were stabbed by the flash of his TV show
and so they go

and give us sound
of heilin's.

In Boston, 40 of them saw
10,000 people, maybe more
people who've had enough of their crap
calling every one of them a sap
for falling for
Trump's voice of hate and fear
fell too near
and parrot sound
of heilin's.

"Fools!" said we. "You do not know
fascism like cancer grows!
We kicked its ass in nineteen forty-five!
Some of those who did are still alive!
Hear their words
of why their comrades fell...

for stopping
the sound
of heilin's."

And those people bowed and prayed
to a God no Hebrew made.
Maybe all of us should be hoping
that the Ark they soon will be op'ning
and the sign says
"The words of the prophets
have doomed Nazis to lake of fire!
They, in entire."

So sod off
with sound...

of heilin's.

(instrumental close)

Good to see one of the old-timers still posting. A well-written parody of a rather ominous original song. Wonder if you will collect as many comments as I did with my last effort from the other side of the police barricade. Sound of "Heilin" is a good match. It's Weimar Germany once more.
