"Saturday"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Saturday,
all my tsuris seem so far away.
Now I'm here I think it's time to pray.
Oh, I believe in Saturday.

Certainly,
shul is where I always like to be,
Now we've finished Deuteronomy
Oh, Saturday's so nice to see.

Who just said hello?
I don't know, I couldn't say.
I recognize the face,
but the name has gone astray-ay-ay-ay

Saturday,
children like to run around and play.
And their parents they will disobey.
Oh, they have fun on Saturday.

Why they make such noise
I don't know, but it's okay.
Such loud girls and boys,
Come to shul on Saturday-ay-ay-ay.

Anyway,
Now our Rabbi says he's going away,
I received the news with great dismay.
I'll miss his jokes on Saturday.
Mm mm mm mm mm mm mm.

WM: Fine work for a "newby" on this site. Not being Jewish, I had to look up "shul" (school or synagogue) & "tsuris" (Yiddish for troubles). If title were "Sabbath Day", I would have been alerted sooner. Being a senior, I loved lines 11 & 12.

Wendy - A fine series today. Just remember to rest after completing six songs. ;D

Gants gut. When it is Shabbos, the books are your best friends.
