Sittin’ in the local court,
I’ve been wishin’ that I hadn’t been caught.
Seeing the judge roll in,
And then I see the jury come in again, yeah.

I’m sittin’ in the dock all today
Hoping that things go my way.

I robbed a bank in Goring,
Thought that I’d get clean away.
