Had another "amiright" night at the Espresso Gardens in San Jose last evening. This time Rick helped me perform the parody I posted yesterday (Thurs. 10/28), "It's About That 'War' President" and also one of my first postings, "Sell Out All Your Hits". Went over very well. Got to meet fellow Author John Barry; something I had wanted to do. Mari performed some good stuff while Rick backed up a number of performers in addition to myself. One of the regulars there commented that I was hardly shaking at all this time. Around the middle of the session the four of us went out to the parking lot in back of the 'Gardens and Rick's son, Daniel took some group pictures of us. It so happens that we were virtually surrounded by Trash Dumpsters...those from the Café and also the surrounding businesses. Actually, the smell was not as bad as this parody might indicate. But it was pungent enough...Oh, yeah...I had a wonderful time again. It's just a whole lot of fun. Thanks again to Rick and Mari, there is no way I could do this without their musical backing and psychological encouragement.

Stuart, glad you like them. Honestly, I like to write them off personal experiences I have (Or ones folks I know have). I know they are a little "inside" but as long as I enjoy doing it and some of the readers enjoy reading them I don't see any reason not to. JB, it was a pleasure to meet you, too. Depending on a few variables I would like to make this trip a couple times a year maybe. Hopefully on the next one up you'll be able to make it again (and maybe perform, too...hint, push, shove). alvin...that's the perfect position to be in...NEARLY smelling it. Apologies to Daniel, I don't think he goes by "Dan" at all, but he's just got too many syllables in his name so they had to go.
Stuart! Sorry, I forgot about the pictures! I think they WILL be posted on the Messageboard in a few days or so. Rick & Mari have them and unlike some writers they have real jobs during the daytime and other things going on so we will have to be a little patience on the pix. I'm quite glad they were taken last night - the only other photos with me in them on this site were when I was on my way back from my LAST trip up North in January - I was about 10-15 lbs. overweight from 3 weeks of porking out and lying around. Ahhh...Vanity...
