Parody Song Title:

"Summer Silver Bird"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

This began as a childhood mondegreen of "Solitary Man's" title line; recently, it became clear that the phrase offered an uplifting message that lent itself to usage as the title of a full-fledged parody that is nowhere near as bitter as the original selection's bleak, frustrated, and rage-filled lyrics.
When June comes around he'll be found till September
Shine or rain
It's all the same
He looks like he glows no one knows where he comes from
But where he flies
Our spirits rise

Look up in the air and he's there you can see him
He means no harm when it's warm he has his freedom
He spreads a hopeful word
The summer silver bird
The summer silver bird

The cold and the snow offer no welcomes to him
Fall through spring
Make him sting
He doesn't need to be caged and any age shows his feathers
Shining bright
Day or night

Look up in the air and he's there you can see him
He means no harm when it's warm he has his freedom
He spreads a hopeful word
The summer silver bird
The summer silver bird

(Instrumental third verse and bridge)

Look up in the air and he's there you can see him
He means no harm when it's warm he has his freedom
He spreads a hopeful word
The summer silver bird
The summer silver bird
Future plans are to record a version of this, and to post it on YouTube.
