The Lyrics
Besides marking the 43rd anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing, today the USA celebrates 42 months of the 44th president, who cut NASA's funding in favor of Russian launches. After seeing this invitation to his upcoming birthday bash in Chicago, I wrote these lyrics (my 4th and I hope last) for it. The party's date of August 12 conflicts with his "birth certificate" (August 4); perhaps the 12th marks "when 8 days were fulfilled for his circumcision."
Happy birthday, Barack!
Socialism's on track.
If you win re-election,
There'll be no going back.
On this birthday you'll be
Fifty-one; after three-
And-a-half years in office, [1]
You have shed mystery.
Since your fiftieth fete, [2]
There's been little debate
In old Harry Reid's chamber;

But with Congress deadlocked,
