The Lyrics

Remember when video games had lousy graphics but were a lot more fun? "Halo 3"? Why was there a 1 or 2?
Halo, folly.
Well, Halo, folly.
We should throw it in the trash where it belongs.

It looks like hell, Halo.
Got a smell, Halo.
It's annoying, it's so cloying, it's so very wrong.

I feel the room swaying
for the kids playing
a game that sucks compared to stuff I played back then.

So, take a wrap, fellas.
Admit that this game is crap, fellas.
Halo, won't you go away again!

(instrumental break)

I feel the room swaying
for the kids playing
a game that sucks compared to stuff I played back then.

So, golly gee, fellas.
Keep that game away from me, fellas.
Halo, won't you go away!
Fellas, gotta keep that game away!
Halo, won't you go away again!

Good to see you again, Mike. Are you still the acting Simon C of the site? or has another brutally honest bastard come along to challenge you? Anyhow, well done. Loved 'take a wrap/this game is crap'. I agree partially. For the most part I don't like the series, but Halo 1 has a special place in my heart for the following reason. I was at a locar area network party where four Xbox systems were hooked together so 16 of us could play in the same game at once. I was so bad I was like a handicap for my team. For most of the game, the better players were using tactics to try and steal the flag from the other team, while I was just wandering around in the field for the most part, feeling bored and incompetent. So it's the last minute of the game, three guys from the other team kill our base, grab the flag, jump in a vehicle headed back across the field towards their base. If they get the flag to their base, they win. I see them coming as I'm wandering in the field. I throw what must be the luckiest grenade ever. I see an explosion and vehicle with three dead players in it doing a 720 degree flip in the air. I then decide I like Halo :c)

An old story, Glen: "I hate it until I discover I'm good at it." All I know is, anybody who waits outside Best Buy in a tent overnight -- three times -- to get a game, let alone a game system the moment it arrives needs to have their heads examined. And as the old saying goes, we'll find nothing there. Then again, 25 years ago, I was like that with the Atari 5200 SuperSystem, which I guess makes me the sinner-turned-overzealous convert.
