Song Parodies -> "Dr. Leary"

Original Song Title:

"Bubbles in the Wine (Good Night, Sleep Tight)"

 (MP3)
Original Performer:

Lawrence Welk

Parody Song Title:

"Dr. Leary"

Parody Written by:

Tim Hall

The Lyrics

I accidentally caught a Lawrence Welk show on PBS and look what happened!
Dr. Leary said that he found a key
To open people's minds and it was LSD
Look through the vivid clear window pane
Flashbacks of your life falling down like rain

Dr. Leary said that he found a key
To open people's minds and it was LSD
Tune In, Turn On, and Drop Out

Legend of a Mind by the Moody Blues.....The Key!

When I was a little kid, my parents watched The Lawrence Welk Show, and I would watch it along with them - so I am very familiar with the original tune here, and take it from me, folks - Tim nailed it! Good job. 5's
