Car shows, beach days every year; I watch the weather, shake with fear
Whenever summertime is here….
I look at clouds that way.
But God? He plays games with the sun, He makes it rain on all my fun
So many things I would have done but God got in my way.

I've looked at God from all sides now,
He’s good and bad, and still I know
It’s God who slams me through the wall
I really don't trust God… at all.

Holy Rollers full of zeal, the Psalms & Gospels make them feel
that all their fairy tales are real; The Bible says to pray…..
But now it's just a cruel joke. I see Him laughing when I choke
Religion—only mirrors & smoke, don't waste your time on Sunday.

I've looked at church from all sides now,
A vacant house, and still somehow
The church is like an empty hall
I don’t like goin’ to church at all.

Years and years of fearing God... today "I curse You" right out loud,
He always kicks me when I’m down…, I look at Christ that way.
But now my life's a monkey's cage; my luck has put me in constant rage.
Your time is wasted; nothing's gained by praying every day.

I've looked at Christ from all sides now,
From high and low, and still I know
It's Christ who’s causing my downfall.
I really don't trust Christ….. at all.
