Original Performer:

Parody Song Title:

"Blah-Blah-Blah-Blah-Blah, Speech-a"

Parody Written by:

John A. Barry

The Lyrics

Blah-blah-blah-blah-blah, speech-a, State o'
The Union; didn't watch, did you?
Blah-blah-blah-blah-blah, screech-a, waste o'
Time because nothing said is true.

If I want comedy,
I'll watch C-Span.
Can't stand faux comity. . .
Hacks who grandstand
Wasted line scans.

Blah-blah-blah-blah-blah, breach o' trust-a
From a bunch who are lovin' Scoot.
Blah-blah-blah-blah-blah, reach-a, must-a,
For the remote and then hit "mute."

He'd try to comfort me,
Vauntin' his "plans."
Here's how I'll comport, me,
I'll take my hand
And hit "next chan-

nel." Blah-blah-blah-blah-blah-blah-blah-blah-
blah-blah-blah-blah-blah-blah-blah-blah-blah-blah-
blah-blah-blah-blah-blah-blah-blah-blah-blah-blah-
blah-blah-blah-blah-blah-blah-blah-blah-blah-blah-
blah-blah-blah-blah-blah-blah-blah-blah-blah-blah-
blah-blah-blah-blah-blah-blah-blah-blah-blah-blah-
blah-blah-blah-blah-blah-blah-blah-blah-blah-blah-
blah-blah-blah-blah-blah-blah-blah-blah-blah-blah-
blah-blah-blah. . . .

No I didn't watch. If George had spoke 'blah-blah..' for the whole time he probably would have sounder smarter...and given us no BS.

Much better than my spoof of the OS! Memo to Dubya (since you obviously missed the first one): Alternative energy was first proposed over 30 years ago. As to your plan to relieve US addiction to foreign oil, I say "duh". Why, after three decades, is NJ the only state that offers rebates to homeowners who install solar panels?

Probably because New Jersey is smart enough to have Democratic Governors who understand that the most hated thing in the State -- except for the Rangers, when they slither through the Lincoln Tunnel to play the Devils, and by the way RANGERS SUCK!!!! -- is the big oil refinery in Linden. If you're going down the Turnpike, it's off Exit 13, and you can't miss it. Unfortunately. As for the parody, yeah, you pretty much nailed it. But does this mean that Bush sounds like he's telling the truth if you've taken acid?

I watched the State of the Union Address. Anyone who could have watched but did not is a useless moron, someone who doesn't deserve his citizenship. President George W. Bush was his usual outstanding self. He is one of the greatest presidents the U.S. has ever had.

On second thought, I take back everything I said. Anyone who could have watched but did not is a patriotic American, someone who deserves his citizenship. President George W. Bush was his usual marionette self. He is one of the goofiest presidents the U.S. has ever had.

"Although I aspire to ape my masters..." Now I know that wasn't the real Lurker finally coming to his senses. He would NEVER admit to being descended from apes! Not that there's any intelligence to his design.

Whoa! So, we were supposed to listen to the President's speech or risk losing our citizenship? Wasn't that the type of rhetoric the Third Reich advocated? The sentiments original Lurker expressed show the danger of propaganda - we are closer to facism than we have ever been. Remember that on election day.
