Original Song Title:

"Enery the 8th"

Original Performer:

Herman's Hermits

Parody Song Title:

"Henery the K."

Parody Written by:

John A. Barry

The Lyrics

I'm Henery the K., I am
Henery the K., I am, I am.
I helped to prolong the Vietnam war,
Which started way back in '64.
I should have been shunned in embassies;
I didn't do the best for Uncle Sam.
Dr. Strangelove--that's me, Henery.
Henery the K. I am.

(He's the worst, forever cursed)

[repeat]

TOS is called "I'm Henry VIII, I Am"; I don't know where you get "Enery", that's wrong. And the parody itself isn't that great either.

Tom Lehrer was wrong: Satire did not die the day Henry Kissinger got the Nobel Peace Prize. Kissinger only got a share (and Le Duc Tho wisely declined his share), and satire has recovered. Kissinger ought to hang, because his decisions, every bit as much as Nixon's, led to the murder of two million Vietnamese civilians. Had Nixon ever been so indicted, he could have pleaded insanity and gotten off lightly. Kissinger cannot say the same.
