The Lyrics
This Vietnam-era musical foresaw an epoch of peace, love and harmony. (When was that, 1981-1990?) Well, here they go again (a Reaganism), this time with hope, change and overtures. The OS sang "love" as 3 or 4 syllables and "guide the" as 4 syllables, so I've used them all. By "goon" I mean mobster, "juvenile" means novice, and "cartoons" denotes just a few Senators and Representatives.
When a goon resides in our White House
And juveniles are signed as czars,
The president is carved in granite
Above pro basketball's hot stars.
His is the fawning on world stage for our arrogance,
Enraged by that arrogance.
What arrogance?
His arrogance!
Charm, money, man-wonder standing;
Foreign countries' trust rebounding;
No more falsehoods, rogue decisions,
Holding terrorists in prisons,
Twisting fiscal 'propriations
Fade behind Blue lib'ral nation.
Ach! Barry is
A populist!
When cartoons are in the Senate, House
And Supreme Court opines on wars,
Decrease will save the planet
And government will jeer big cars.
This is the spawning of the sage of apologies;
We rage at apologies.

Apologist!
He more needs an understanding
Of our nation's lusty founding.
Constitutional provisions
Told of giving three divisions,
None with special elevation,
For mankind's true liberation.
That's our US!
Don't bury us!
