| Original Song Title: | "Galveston" |
| Original Performer: | Glen Campbell |
| Parody Song Title: | "Guernica" |
| Parody Written by: | John A. Barry |
"Guernica," oh "Guernica."
You can see the big guns blowing
In a sea of fire, town's glowing.
No simpatica, Franco for Guernica.
"Guernica," oh "Guernica."
You can see the buildings crashing
And you see the cannons flashing.
The pistola then reigned in Guernica.
The town sits right near the water. . .
Bay of Biscay, then the sea.
In came the planes--no time to flee
To the beach down at Barainca.
"Guernica," oh "Guernica"
Many slain and many crying
And Pablo's painting shows pain, dying; left, nada
In Guernica. Thus "Guernica."
You can see the big guns blowing
In a sea of fire, town's glowing.
No simpatica, Franco for Guernica.
"Guernica," oh "Guernica."
You can see the buildings crashing
And you see the cannons flashing.
The pistola then reigned in Guernica.
The town sits right near the water. . .
Bay of Biscay, then the sea.
In came the planes--no time to flee
To the beach down at Barainca.
"Guernica," oh "Guernica"
Many slain and many crying
And Pablo's painting shows pain, dying; left, nada
In Guernica. Thus "Guernica."

one of my favorites by the man
Nice job here. The painting itself is amazing...I was lucky enough to see it at MOMA in New York many times.
