It's kind of ironic that Jupiter is Byronic
And acting so lustily.
He's looking for romance and so decides to take a chance
With one who's lower than he.

Enraptured is the great one by that chubby little face,
The one he thinks to woo.
But he is so roiled up that he jumps right to humping Cupid. . .
Says, "I love you."

And then little Cupid cries because the guy's so damn surprised
That he is on the floor.
The king of gods in on his spine and he is tryin'
To open Cupid's back door.

The bow-boy gets away and thinks of clever lines to say
Without demeaning king Jup'.
The tack he takes is to say that he's got a headache
And needs some chicken soup.

But Jup' won't bite; he's not misled; he's lost his head
And he won't be Cup's dupe.
Then Cup' screws up, thinking of self-defense, does something stupid:
Oops! He shoots Jup'.
