The Lyrics

I was inspired by Phil Alexander's parody to write this reply. The OS had too few stanzas to cover all that BHO has done in 100 days, but here's a sample.
Jeremiah's rants early caught his eye
Sittin' in a pew lookin' for a "Why?"
Then he got his chance, sayin' "Bush must go"
And soon he'd figured how to get our dough

Blame it on Barack Obama with his magic spell
Blame it on Barack Obama that he spoke so well
Oh, it all began with Jeremiah's rants
But then it ended up with "Yes we can!"s
Blame it on Barack Obama
The chance for love

(Now was it too soon?)
Not for Barack Obama
(Was his star above?)
Go, go, Barack Obama
(Now is he a boon?)
Yeah, yeah, Barack Obama
(The man chicks love)

Now we're glad to say he's our pride and glee
And we're gonna praise his spending spree
And when our kids ask why they owe so much
We're gonna tell them he was out of touch

Blame it on Barack Obama as his budgets swell
Blame it on Barack Obama with no time to dwell
Oh, it all began with teleprompted speech
But then it ended up so out of reach
Blame it on Barack Obama
@change.gov

(Now was it the Fed?)
Throw dough, Barack Obama
(Or his czars above?)
Control, Barack Obama
(Are free markets dead? )
Yeah, yeah, Barack Obama
(The lance he'll shove)

Now I'm sad to say he can hide from me
How he's gonna taze my liberty
And when my kids have no free speech or gun
I'll say he zapped Amendments Two and One

Blame it on Barack Obama with his tragic sell
Blame it on Barack Obama if my rights just fell
Oh, it all began with just one little breach
But my gun ended up without a breech
Blame it on Barack Obama
The prancin' dove

[Fading]

(Now is it too late?)
To stop Barack Obama
(Tiny cars we'll love?)
Yugo, Barack Obama
(Will he soon dictate?)
Yeah, yeah, Barack Obama
(With hand in glove)

He's had his 100 days. From now on everything is his fault. Your take on Obama is the same as mine. I'd like to hear his opinion on why half the country is buying guns because he was elected. I'm beginning to wonder if the last election was the "last" election.

Wonder why no one else thought of TOS? Clever that you did... and "change.gov" a brilliant innovation; "breach/breech" inspired homphony. 555, and welcome to the world where political views count more than the ability to perceive wit and humor. (I've voted 555 for well-written parodies with whose POVs I've disagreed strongly, and so have a couple of others, but we're in the minority. Take it as a compliment for hittin' 'em where it hurts.)

DKTOS, but I'll go and have a look: caught the title and had to have a peek - incidentally was "Boss Nova" an intentional typo? (if that's not an oxymoron). Lots of clever bits (favourite was @change.gov). Have to say that after the PATRIOT act, blaming Obama for a loss of civil liberties would be a bit like blaming Hitler for the outbreak of WWI... ;-)

Thanks to all above (three of my favorite authors) for feedback. Phil, the typo was a Freudian slip but after initial remorse I love it. The Patriot Act infringed Amendment Four. I'd like to change the 15th line to "Did some women swoon?" to match the 17th.

... is the full title, but that's ok, Phil A., no one in the USA knows it, either. Or what it stands for (literally, not figuratively: "Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism Act of 2001".

btw, glad to see that you and Tommy Turtle finally agree on something political! See! The passage of me *did* unite the country and the world!
