Do you remember the Yugoslavia Breakup Wars of 1991 - 2004? The Yugoslavian Communist Party stepped down and dissolved in early 1990 and soon enough, ethnic tensions in its 6 republics brewed up. Most of it was stirred up by the whiny Slobodan Milosevic (nicknamed the S.O.B. in my university) of Serbia. Gross genocidal and 'ethnic cleansing' and mass rapes occured. NATO intervened into two of those wars. And needless to say, all those former Yugoslav nations are in southern EUROPE.
