Parody Song Title:

"Devil in the Sky"

Parody Written by:

John A. Barry

The Lyrics

She looks like an angel,
Thought she’s an angel,
But she’s no angel—
So says this guy.[1]

She’s the devil in the sky,
Oh yes, she is,
Just a demonic i-
dol, yes she is.

Frogs fooled us with this missus
Who is demonic-green.[2]
Heaven help us, a sick Frenchie
And his Masonic team
Had cooked up this “angel,”
Wrought us this “angel,”
Frogged us this “angel”
Across the tide.

She’s the devil in the sky,
Oh yes, she is.
Where’s the Masonic eye,[3]
Where is it hid?

Tired and poor thought, “This is heaven!”
When they arrived and spied
Heaven-pointing gal, Liberty. . .
That dev’lish word’s French-snide!
(A third of what they cried[4].
Some Founders, Frenchified!!![5]).

Don’t look Saxon-Anglo,
Not Saxon-Anglo.
God’s Saxon-Anglo;
Satan’s French-fried.

She’s the devil in the sky
And Masonic,
The devil in the sky,
The Mason’s trick,
The devil in the sky,
And maison-ish.[6]

I figured verdigris for "vert" et "gris" (green and grey). Never knew the Statue of Liberty had such ominous connotations. Maybe you can explain the gold fringe on the US flag.
