Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

I'm sure that we all wish that Christie would write more often, but what she *has* posted has her own unique style (see the links) -- and the bubbling enthusiasm of her comments has brightened our days on many occasions. Hence, a little extra "thanks".

Christie Marie M:
Financial plight
Pain, labor: gnarling
Contractions, tight
Loud snorer; she'll be up late
Awake forever;
Her love, sedate

Thanksgiving, gnaw you
On a wild bird, tender
Guests were enraptured
Run steak through blender?

In jail, a lifetime
Paying for his blight crime
Cower in fear!
Christmas is here:
Don't fast!

Her comments, clever
So boldly bright
FG, T: sparkling
From sheer delight
Our sorrow, will she abate
"Best fan forever" [1]
We think you're great!

Hitting the pillow
And the "Y-K"™ lotion:
Too young for true love;
Complete commotion

Those witches: fright'ning
They invade like lightning
Munro, Lochlyn:
Christie would bend
His way!

Devon Werkheiser;
Two thousand-eight:
Which one's the wiser?
France, s’il vous "plate
More pasta! (Who cares 'bout weight?)
Ducks now endeavor:
So lovely, skate!

Christie, forever
Our "favor-rate"!

[1] Commonly abbreviated as "BFF" ;)

That's all of Christie's songs, as of the day this was written. More! More!

*Sniffles with joy*: Thanks, you guys! I am outrageously touched with your lovely tribute!!!!!! Nobody has ever, ever written a tribute about me before! I'm glad you guys did. For that I am gracious, not to mention honored! I know that I don't write much, but I'll work on and post some parodies one of these days when I get the chance. Of course, you're a 555 all the way!! *smiles brightly, then takes a bow* .

Samurai, if you are reading this, you can write another tribute about me if you wish to.

Great tribute to one of my favorite AmIRighters, and I too would like to see more parodies from her (not to mention others, such as Alvin Rhodes, Guy DiRito, and Stan Hall). 5s.

That was quite a job working the titles of her parodies into yours.

Lexcellence abounds! Christie's on the, er, 'Brink--' of immortality with this fine tribute from the Tribunes Of Tricky!

I feel a bit silly thanking everyone, when it's CMM who is being honored here... But on *her* behalf, Thanks to everyone! [We

A constant encourager CMM is. Thanks to TT/FG for saluting someone whose opinions and poetry are trusted by many.

Mark Scotti: Cheery thanks!

SamuraiMaster: I'm *guessing* you're not of an age to remember this, but Mary Wells had a 1962 hit, "You Beat Me to the Punch" ... in case you want to use that for a parody about this. The lyrics are on the Web, and surely videos at YouTube. Thanks for v/c!

Christie Marie M: Long overdue! -- glad you found it worthy, and one more "thanks", this time for the v/c!

CMM @ SM: That is very gracious of you, to give SM permission (wink, nudge, heh heh!) :-D

Andria: Thanks! Hope we'll see some sometime soon!

2Eagle: Thank you. The technique is a TT original and niche, done for maybe a dozen or so tributes to other writers. Of course, anyone else is welcome to use it. (No links or plugs unless requested, but any TT trib to another AIRer in the last year or two probably does this, including TT's own 200th-parody self-trib.) Thanks for v/c.

carly_carlz: Thank you, and it's nice to welcome you to *our* song comments! ... btw, you probably don't know this, but when your first few parodies here did not have "comments enabled" checked, making it impossible for people to leave comments, I posted a suggestion to ChuckyG that comments should be enabled by default, because new writers didn't know to check it, and veterans sometimes forget. He agreed, and it is that way now. I cited your parodies as examples of how hard it is on new writers. ..... I DK most of your OS, and there's probably a generation gap, but we might find other songs in common for each other to comment on. Thanks for v/c! (vote/comment.)

AFW: Top of the line compliment from one of *the* top of the line AIRs himself.... thanks!

TJC: LOL! ... was she related to David? (newscaster Brinkley). Thanks for v/c!

Phil Nelson: Thanks. TT's probably done about 30 - 40, including group tributes... FWIW, at one time ChuckyG cautioned me that he didn't want the site to be just writers writing about each other, because that wouldn't attract new readers. Which makes sense. So it's a once-in-a-while thing, when the muse or the impulse (or the aliens) strike. Plenty more in my catalog (page) -- feel free to browse. ;)

LPG-Unit: Thanks for that XUL-ent Perl of a compliment, and for voting higher than your BASIC C++. (Yes, I peeked.) If you know any Spanish, I can take that one step farther: Thanks from the DOS of us! (We feel very FORTRANate! -- but do *not* ask me whether FG and I COBOL!) :-D

Old Man Ribber: Soooo much better a "network" than CNN! ... LOL as usual @ OMR patented punments, and ya think we could replace all of CNN with CMM? You have my vote!

Warren Baker: Indeed is she. Very grateful for your kind v/c we are.
