The Lyrics

A little context: Joseph Wilson, former ambassador to Gabon, unmasked one of the bogus rationales used to invade Iraq (http://www.commondreams.org/views03/0706-02.htm). As payback, the Bush administration unmasked his wife, covert CIA operative Valerie Plame. Someone in the administration leaked her identity to reactionary columnist Robert Novak (dubbed "Douchebag of Freedom" by the "Daily Show"), an act that is not only illegal but also blew her cover and potentially put her in grave danger. The "investigation" appears to be going nowhere, but the culprit is generally assumed to be Bush henchman Karl Rove.
When he looks at Joe Wilson
Many slights to see.
Each day paranoia fills him--
"So many people are after me."

He's deranged, so deranged.
So he becomes a filthy snitch.
He gives Robert Novak his pitch.
Novak "outs" Plame, he had the itch.
Hmm! Looks like the treason of Shrub's bitch.
Looks like the treason of Shrub's bitch, yeah.
Looks like the treason of Shrub's bitch.

And when he looks over his shoulder
What do you think he sees?
His opponents getting bolder--
"They're out to get me!"

He's deranged, so deranged.
He said, "Just watch--I'll get the witch!
Her husband gave our plans a glitch.
Might have gone off without a hitch."
Oh, oh. Looks like the treason of Shrub's bitch.
Looks like the treason of Shrub's bitch, yeah.
Looks like the treason of Shrub's bitch.

He's just a sleazeball snitch,
A fat rat skulking in a ditch.
Serves as his boss's bitch.
Oh, oh. Looks like the treason of Shrub's bitch.
Looks like the treason of Shrub's bitch, yeah.
Looks like the treason of Shrub's bitch.

You're Billy-Boy Tong in disguise, right?

Sir William does not permit comments, unfortunately. Though he's probably smacking himself and thinking, "Why didn't I think of this one?" I never would've thought of it, either, but I'm giving it all fives.

Was thinking of using this Donovan OS for a parody, so I checked to see if anyone had ever used it...low and behold, JB, you have...yeah, Bob Novak is a piece of work, alright...I happened to catch his "Capital Gang" show not too long before CNN closed down that farce. He had the audacity to sit up there and pontificate about some sort of ethical situation involving leaks (not this one)...Mark Shields and whoever the other guy was sat there slack-jawed in amazement...but nary a peep did either make about Novak's hyprocrisy...and then I found out why...it was NOVAK'S show...so the thing was just a "Vanity" program...you could talk about stuff...IF Bob thought it was OK to do...anyway, aside from my rant, you did this well...5's ~ ~ ~
