The Lyrics

For my birthday last month, I got an Xbox 360 + Halo 3 (Actually, I've had the game for a couple of months before I got the console). Thus, I decided to write a tribute to one of my favorite video game series of all time. I know there's already a parody of this title, but I felt I could do better. Most people know what Halo is, so I feel I shouldn't have to explain anything. However, if you've been living under a rock for so long, let me put it this way: Humans colonize other planets in the future, aliens start wiping out human colonies, humans send super soldier with AI assistant to stop aliens, and super soldier stops aliens from firing ring-shaped superweapon & destroying all organic life in the galaxy. Anyways, enjoy the parody. DKTOS? (Don't Know The Original Song?
Ground Control to Master Chief,
Ground Control to Master Chief,
Grab your weaponry & put your armor on.

[Countdown begins at 10]

Ground Control to Master Chief,
Commencing hyperspeed, hang on.
Check your weapons & let’s all finish the fight.

This is Ground Control to Master Chief,
Go get the Covenant!
Earth is all we have since the fall of Reach.
Now it’s time to kick some ass & close the breach.

This is Master Chief to Ground Control,
I’m really kicking ass!
And the Covenant are getting beaten badly.
But what are these other creatures that I see?

Now here I am fighting on a ring world,
Far away from home.
Cortana is blue,
And I know what I must do.

Though I’ve blown Halo to smithereens,
The war’s not over yet.
For the Covenant are heading straight for Earth.
And I’d like to see a peaceful age’s birth.

Ground Control to Master Chief,
The Covenant are here on Earth.
Can you hear me, Master Chief?
Can you hear me, Master Chief?
Can you hear me, Master Chief?
Can you …

Here I am fighting on my home world,
Finishing the fight.
Cortana is blue,
And I know what I must do.

I read it already. It was good, but you left out a verse (unless I read it wrong).
