Song Parodies -> "Keg-o-beer"

Original Song Title:

"Guinnevere"

 (MP3)
Original Performer:

Crosby, Stills & Nash

Parody Song Title:

"Keg-o-beer"

Parody Written by:

The Comedian

The Lyrics

" Keg-o-beer! "
Steve Stills cries
He pours
(An') later he snores

When he'd fall down
In the Green Room
In the evening before the show

Roadies washed him desperately
Underneath cold shower streams

"Steve can't you see me?"

Keg-o-beer
Brewed in a can
Stills poured
(An') pissed on the floor

Late at night
When Steve thought
That no one was watching at all

...in the hall...

...See poor Steve pee...

As he turns his gaze
Down the hall
To the cooler where beer lay
Eight six-packs a day

Keg-o-beer
It's cold in there
Like Coors
Rotgut like Coors

Streaming out
When Steve cried
"Gimme more beer now, I'm okay"

...call AA...

Crosby staggers mindlessly,
Stills sings in pickled harmony...

...Nash is angry...

Johnny D - Another great job with CSN. I haven't done to work yet on what I'm going to do with this song for my project. Just a few lyric notes I've made. I'm gonna go check but I would guess this hasn't been too much= (if at all) on the site so far.

Thanks Paul - according to my own pre-posting research, this is the first parody of "Guinnevere" posted on Amiright.

I want to do a "Greatest Hits of CSN" where we can all chip in the drug and booze songs. This would go good with "Wasted on the Stage" and "Bong Time Coming" (Guess we could throw in today's "Oreo" entry)

Thanks Jack and Rick - and Rick, I like that idea - count me in...... and yes, I'd like to see Alvin's "Oreo" parody in there, too.

Thanks Alvin .... yes, "Stills" lived up to his name, apparently!
