The Lyrics

I can't believe I didn't think of this one sooner. I can't believe someone else didn't think of this one sooner.
(guitar opening)

I see a bad goon, right-wing.
I see trouble all the way.
I see Dubya lying.
I see a bad time today.

Go out Election Night.
It just might save your life.
There's some bad goons on the right.

I hear our jobs a-blowing.
I know the end must come for goons.
Away, soldiers' lives, they're throwing.
I hear this country's gone to ruin.

Go out Election Night.
It just might save your life.
There's some bad goons on the right.

(guitar break)

Hope you vote for someone better.
Hope you don't believe all their lies.
Don't care if Tuesday has bad weather.
Got to go stick it to those guys.

Well, go out Election Night.
It just might save your life.
There's some bad goons on the right!

Go out Election Night.
It just might save your life.
There's some bad goons on the right!

I see... Saddam's friends at MoveOn
I see... perverts at Code Pink
I smell... commies with bad hygiene
I smell... Osama's friends, who stink.

Go vote for the right,
Or the left might take your life;
Terrorists' friends hate the right!

Hey "111": Better run through the jungle... 'cause I ain't afraid of your old man down the road -- even if it's Dick "I Shot the Sheriff (but I did not go to Vietnam)" Cheney!

You're right, Malcolm... and correct, too. I can see now that this wasn't one of my better ones. I was trying to send a message rather than win points on humor. I ended up sounding more like Howard Dean than Jimmy Dean. But if I have to choose between Ted Kennedy and Ted Nugent... I mean, the Nuge plays a mean guitar, but politically he's totally nuts. And I've heard Kennedy sing, and he's not bad. It was said his grandfather, Mayor John F. Fitzgerald, was the only man who could sing "Sweet Adeline" sober and get away with it. But that doesn't mean that Ted K. is a GREAT singer, and I wouldn't want John Kerry to accompany him on bass guitar. (Bill Clinton's probably still the best musician among living Democrats, and he's only slightly above average on saxophone! Still, I wouldn't want to hear Dubya's idea of music.)
