Song Parodies -> Tomorrow's LeBron
| Original Song Title: | "Yesterday's Gone" |
| Original Performer: | Chad & Jeremy |
| Parody Song Title: | "Tomorrow's LeBron" |
| Parody Written by: | Michael Pacholek |
Not to be confused with "Don't Stop (Thinking About Tomorrow)" by Fleetwood Mac...or the Clintons. This one, written by David Stuart and Wendy Kidd, no relating to Jason, is a little more obscure unless you listen to oldies stations. Of course, if there's an institution that rivals the NBA for "If it didn't happen in the last week, it didn't happen" among young people, it's popular music. Right, Geri Halliwell? Toni Braxton? Jordan Knight? Hanson brothers? Anybody? Bueller?
I loved Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
I knew that Magic would go far.
I loved Michael Jordan.
But that was yesterday. Tomorrow's LeBron.
We walked with Walton in Portland.
And Larry put rings on his Celtic hand.
But now it's over and done
'cause that was yesterday. Tomorrow's LeBron.
We had such happiness together
with Shaq and Kobe and Chris Webber.
Wait 'til winter comes again.
This kid seen on ESPN
his career has just begun.
Tim Duncan's yesterday. Tomorrow's LeBron.
(guitar solo)
Hakeem is far back in history.
Charles Barkley remains a mystery.
Wait 'til winter comes again.
Forget your brand-new Chinese friend.
You think he's just begun.
Yao Ming is yesterday. Tomorrow's LeBron.
Tomorrow's LeBron.
Tomorrow's LeBron.
Tomorrow's LeBron.

Tomorrow's LeBron.
Tomorrow's LeBron.
Tomorrow's LeBron.
Yes, this is a sequel of sorts to "It's Yao Forever." Jersey Lady Meadowland hasn't voted on this one yet, but I don't think she'll be pleased.

Yao? Yo... As the commercial says. There are still some of us who remember the melodic harmonies of Chad and Jeremy. Good job.
