The Lyrics

This was the greatest thing that could have happened. Had Chris Christie gotten real popular, we would have had Nixon back in the White House.....or actually, a cross between Ralph Kramden & Tony Soprano. A big Blowhard!
It was the tenth of September, just a smoggy, dirty, Jersey day
There was members of the Christie team about to make the Mayor pay
And at rush hour, traffic stopped up for a mile clogging all the streets
And nobody got no answers from the Port Authority Police
But then we heard on the news that Fort Lee had come unhinged
The day Bridget Ann Kelly closed down the George Washington Bridge"

Bill Baroni said to Bridget as they sat around and drank some tea
"Well, we have a little score to settle there... over in Fort Lee"
"There are still two more access lanes that we can close down"
And Rachel Maddow said the e-mails came from Bridget Ann anyhow
Seems like everyone is worried now that Wildstein might be a snitch....
And say that Bridget Ann Kelly's closed down the George Washington Bridge

David Wildstein won't testify and wouldn't say a word about Bridget Ann
They cut off his attorney; he may spend a few years in the can
But then he started talkin' to the reporters last Monday night
He said he wasn't giving up the uncut e-mails, not without a legal fight
I heard that Bill Stepian and the rest will plead the Fifth
And now you tell me Bridget Kelly closed down the George Washington Bridge

The New York Times said more facts are coming to light
Well, the evidence is mounting and it seems they did it just for spite
That nice Assemblyman Wisnewski was on the news today
He was handing out subpoenas to all of them..... more on the way
He said, "It seems they thought their little plan was going off without a hitch"
They learned that Bridget Ann was plannin' somethin' for the George Washington Bridge

Three months have come and gone since we heard the news 'bout Bridget Ann
There was the scandal in Hoboken, and some others; here we go again
There's been a rumor goin' round, Guv'nor Christie might be impeached
And now his run for the Presidency seems to be out of reach
And commuters spend a lotta' time in traffic where they moan & bitch
And stare into the Hudson underneath the George Washington Bridge

From the news I heard, a lady died while paramedics were stalled in this politically motivated bridge closure. That is murder. Time to make example of a few politicians.

And now you tell me Mary Jo Kopechne fell off the Chappaquiddick Bridge

As the author of the Sopranos parody "Ode to Philly Joe" (which also used the George Washington Bridge, America's 2nd-least-favorite GWB), I approve. And let's not forget: Unlike Chappaquiddick, this was no accident.
