The Lyrics

“Listen, children, you’re taking a walk with me
out in the woods. Vittles missin’; we are all gonna go hungry.”
Out to the woods, they are abandoned with no quarter,
and none of the dropped bread crumbs they see;
they’re scared as well as hungry.

And so they both start to stray, mis’rable children.
Their way in the woods they can’t find. But then they view
house of candy and gingerbread of the best kind.
They start to eat! It’s such a treat. But something’s moving—
it’s a witch, inveigling nice to entice them in for sugar and spice.

This wicked witch is a trickster
who has nefarious plans.
She is a bitch and a monster
who’s aiming to devour Hans’.

She puts him in the slam. Vittles children
is her plan, but she’s near blind. Han’s plan is to stall
tricks her vision. His “finger”’s a bone that he’s plied.
She thinks he’s spare. His clever sister is getting ready
now to stove-kill her—shoves her head into the vittles kiln—then, head’s hue is brown.
The oven’s hotter than hell; they’ve found vittles Wiccan to chew.
