The Lyrics

OUT IN THE SUN

I hate rainy days,
Stuck in the house, don't you agree?
Much better outside,
Having some fun, out in the sun.

I call on my mates
And we go off to play in the park.
The time it flies by
And we're often still there after dark.

Then, off to the pub which is quite near,
For a few beers.
We have a good time till someone says
It's time for bed.

I stagger back home
To be met by my beautiful wife.
She's so understanding
And truly the love of my life.

I'm not all that bad,
I take her out, just her and me.
We'll find a nice place,
And have some fun, out in the sun.

You're attempting a smoosh I do believe. I think you can reverse it to good effect .... There goes the Bird, doobie doobie, There goes the Bird ...... And I say, "Its all good"

Hi CML, You're confusing this with "Here Comes The Sun" when in fact it's a rewrite of Norwegian Wood. The title at the top is wrong!

Ok, I get it now. You werent really tracking the words of "Here Comes The Sun" at all. BTW, do you understand the concept of "Smoosh." It's basically the idea, "What if X had performed one of Y's songs, using the melody of X's song and the words of Y's song ..... For example, we had an unofficial competion years ago -- What if so and so had sung "The Wreck Of The Edmund FitzGerald." I did one about Elvis, using the OS's "Kentucky Rain" and "In The Ghetto."

BTW, that Edmund FitzGerald "competition" was great ghoulish fun until the 40th anniversary of that tragedy. Then you saw stories about middle aged women still grieving for their daddies who perished and we all did a collective "Oops! this isnt something from the deep recesses of the past. People are still hurting from this." And we all foreswore doing any more
